Our amazing teachers continue to plan and provide challenging instruction for all of our students to continue to learn and grow. It’s hard to believe the third marking period has begun. Lake Nona Middle and OCPS have several committees and booster organizations that are focused on making our schools a highly productive, wonderful place to be. We encourage all parents to be involved in the day to day operations of our school. We would like to thank our judges, Kevin Cadogan, Charisse Ninah and Monique Rivers. Parents are the cornerstone of childrens education. We want to congratulate all of our finalists, especially Clementina (1 st), Arianna (2 nd) and Sophia (3 rd). Seven talented finalists represented more than 170 fifth-grade students who participated. ![]() This year’s Oration Speech Contest asked contestants to give a speech addressing the topic, “What is the Greatest American Invention?” Speeches were between three and five minutes long and in the student’s words.
